Nancy Attebury aims to capture the attention of children and adults when she writes. Her words have been woven into manuscripts for children's books, magazine and newspaper articles, cable tv scripts, and educational journals. She is a frequent presenter at conferences and in schools. Feel free to contact her regarding presentations.
An advocate of the interview process, Nancy has conducted personal interviews with Lloyd M. Bucher, commander of the Pueblo, the publicity director of the U. S. Mint, Gloria Steinem, champion of women's rights, many children's authors, science experts and others.
She enjoys writing on all topics, but her favorite products to date include her manuscript, The Monster of Wallowa Lake, for middle graders and her biography Gloria Steinem: Champion of Women's Rights.
Writing offers me the opportunity to always learn something new. I'm continually encouraged by my daughter, Rami Attebury, a University of Idaho Reference Librarian, who says what I write today may make a difference in someone's life tomorrow. That's a powerful notion!
Nancy is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators - Oregon Chapter (scbwior.com). She and her husband Rich live in Eastern Oregon. They travel frequently and like to ski whenever possible.
